As they grow towards adulthood, they often end up facing these problems alone without the support of their family or friends. As a result it is not unusual to discover that during this period of their lives they often feel anxious, depressed, angry or afraid. They need to talk to someone, but find it difficult to talk to people they know.
Counselling and psychotherapy can help them to talk about their difficulties, supporting them without making them feel judged, and helping them to understand the changes that they are experiencing as they transition into early adulthood. More often than not troubled teenagers do not have access to the specific support that they need, enabling them to get a handle on their lives once more.
It is also a worrying time for parents as they witness their adolescent child struggling but feel helpless in reaching them in their troubles. The counsellors at Caring Space are trained specifically to work with adolescents, and will support the concerned parents through this difficult time, while they engage with their son or daughter.
