Bullying is when other people have the power to cause you pain and distress through abuse, threats and intimidation. It can include emotional, physical, verbal and online bullying which can happen at all ages in families, education or at work. When you are being bullied you can feel affronted in a deep sense, stunned or disillusioned to find dignity and respect are absent in the person who is being the bully. When you are forced to submit to another’s will you enter into a permanent state of vigilance and fear, you find it difficult to trust, so much so that your experience can be brought to the point of paranoia.
